“Our First Aid Box”

Dad , a less written character …..

In our society, you can find a lot of articles , lot of poems , lot of massages on MOM but when we try to find something written on DAD , we just find like , I love my father , My dad is my super hero , Thank you for what you have done for us …. Or something funny like “My dad is An ATM”…. A most valued person deserves some heart melting words more than this ….

I am not saying we don’t want to write on him, but the fact is that he never cares and ask about this, he becomes happy , full with emotions and tear will make their way from deep down feeling filled heart , when we just say I Love You DAD … we didn’t think anything more to speak or write and so , the word “DAD” is touched by feelings but untouched by words…

You can’t hug god in the temple , but thank god we have dad , one of the best moment of life means get a hug from dad , when you hug dad , you get lot of answers automatically, there is not much words in dad’s vocab and that’s why most of the time he stay quite , mom didn’t teach him how to praise the son that’s why he don’t know .. but his smile and proud face says it all , isn’t it ?

We already know, what he did ,what he is doing and what he will do for us , but we have taken this as his routine , we have given a permanent job to him , yes I know some of us will think that, it’s his duty to take care of us , to give us good future , and secure us in all ways.. But we are missing one thing here, in all of this where is his life? what about his care ? what about his freedom and most importantly what about his wishes and his dreams ?

How many of us, sat with dad and asked him, dad what was your dream? how many things you have not bought because you need to buy something for us ? How many of your dreams, you have killed under your pillow ? it’s time to nod our head , none of us , not even me frankly speaking……

But does he even cares about this ? no , he really don’t and it doesn’t make any difference to him , but do you know why, because he never expect this from all of us , and we never let him down on this , right?

Dad also cries !!! because have seen him crying the most when my gradpa dies , but in overall , dad is miser when it comes to tears , yes dad do cries but with dry eyes…

I just tell you my own experience, I don’t know you guys have experienced this or not ,

Whenever my dad’s birthday comes, I call him in the morning to wish , and the reply I got from him is same every time. He just say thank you and in the second line only he will say, I have deposited some money so go and have dinner in hotel , he will not go but he want us to go, even today I didn’t understand the his love , his concern and his feelings for us. But then I think, I will always be a child to him and child never understands the feelings of dad. But one thing he can do and that is unconditional love and care.

If someone can say “Bhagwad gita” without speaking a single word than it’s a dad’s hug, when we fail in exam or even when caught doing some wrong things , dad’s hug is enough to say “ I am with You , don’t worry” , dad’s knowledge of words is limited , so he cant say “I love you” but then a hug of dad is not bad at all…

There is not any appointment book if you want to talk to dad , but we find it very difficult to reach to dad’s shoulder as compare to mom’s , we can put head on mom’s shoulder and cry , but to reach to dad’s shoulder is difficult. But than I think dad’s shoulder is always busy with responsibilities, and I don’t think anytime it will get free from it …

So why not grab a chance today , on this father’s day lets fulfill his one wish , lets create a way for him so that he can run on the way to achieve his dreams , lets show him his importance in our life. Let’s sit with him and ask him about his dreams , his wishes , lets take him to a coffee date , talk about his likes and dislikes , lets give him a good time…

We need first aid box in the emergency situations and in most cases it gives half of the relaxation and more importantly immediately, dad is like that only , he is like a first aid box , when he is around we always get relaxation and for those whose dads are not around ( this is what they think , but they just need to close their eyes , you can find him around you only ) his word , his wisdom and his shadow always there to protect you….
